Re: LCD TV and Monitor basic troubleshooting guides
Hi I'm new to the site and hope I'm in the right place to ask a few questions.
My LG tv (42LD490-ZB) wont power up, when it's turned on the power indicator pulses I can only describe as continually going from dim to bright every few seconds, I am considering replacing the power board but is that the best option any advice would be most welcome.
5V available Relais klicking no function thats what described in this video
The coils are interrupt from the transformer!
But where can buy this transformer?
regards thoma!

Caution when testing LED with protection diode using non-current limiter power supply, you can damage the LED internal Diode.
You can attach Amp meter with power source so you can see what current will flow when wrong polarity is applied to the LED with internal protection diode.
You can easily make constant current source using LM317.

How I remove bad LEDs from the strip.
I crush the white plastic body of the LED first then scrape off the rest to expose the two solder pads of the LED, then I use flux and add solder to those two pads using wide tip 60W iron and the two pads just slide off the board.
I had to do 38 of them for the SAMSUNG 40" TV, 12 of the LEDS were shorted and 2 were open. It went pretty fast doing this way, I did try hot air and hair dryer method but takes too long..
