    Samsung PN51D550C1XA Plasma No video.

Upon giving power to the unit I get a steady red power LED light. Upon entering power on the remote I hear a couple clicks, green LED on T-con goes out and it tries again. This cycle repeats about three times before it stops and gives a constant double blink of the red power LED on the front.

Well I figured I'd attempt at repairing this unit before I took it somewhere else. My dilemma is I've replaced the power supply board and replaced the t-con board and the same result occurs with the original boards. It appears as if there is no obvious damage. Am I missing anything obvious?

One of the Y- or X-Main boards (1st & 4th) is failed short.

Turns out the X-main board was the culprit. I ended up replacing both x-main +x-buffer and am now faced with a minor flicker that occurs after the television has been on for 5-10 minutes. Action will be flicker free for 10 minutes and then ghost/flicker for a few instances a minute and return to clean video.

I've re-seated cables/ribbons and power connections multiple times. I've replaced the Y-main as well to see if this was the problem. Should I replace the main logic board? Or is there some sort of hard reset I need to apply? Thanks again for your time.

I would check your VS VA voltages. Need to be fairly accurate to PDP spec.
Also - try moving power cables around while it is on, then lightly move ribbon cables to see if it clears up.

Thanks. It's cleared up a little, but still there nonetheless. My niece says it's "good enough" for her so I just left it alone. Will try when I get back to the USA.

This might also be fixed by either turning the TV from Dynamic to Standard or Eco, or by installing the latest firmware update.
