    Samsung 42" Plasma malfunctioning

I have a Samsung 42" Plasma that I bought 3 or 4 years ago. It started its problems by clicking several times before powering on. Then it advanced to clicking cycles for 15-20 minutes. I pulled off the back and looked at everything. The caps were in good shape. I had a tech come out and instead of troubleshooting he just replaced the x and y mains. The tv coincidentally worked fine that day. That evening it started clicking again. Then they took it back to their shop and said it could be the panel or some other power supply. They brought it back saying they don't know what its for sure so they wouldn't waste my time and money. Now, it still clicks and in addition, it sometimes does not have color. Sometimes it is in black and white and starts off with squiggly lines. Anyone know what could be the problem so I don't waste any more money? Thanks in advance,

I have a feeling something in your main is causing this but..
First - what is the model of the TV - we are very limited on what we can do without that
Second - disconnect the Y and X main and see if the power supply stabilizes. If not then we have a problem with the main or the power supply itself.
If the power supply does stable - check voltages....although I get the feeling it wont but good to rule out.
Then I would say jump the power supply itself and see if it is stable and verify outputs.
    That lastly, leaves the main.

This is general and will probably have some deviation but decent start.

Include pics as well with the manage attachments feature. Make sure to have adequate lighting and high resolution (below 2mb)
