I have a 40" inch Samsung lcd tv which is starting up,then shuts down then back on again. It did this before and the caps on the power board where replaced, now it is doing the same again. I have tracked it down to the main board which is around $400. I found a fellow in Sydney who can fix it for $100 but he wants me to take it there. I live in S.A, has anyone fixed this problem on the main board

Re: samsung lcd LA40M81BDX
What caps did you use for replacements? (Or if you had a tech do it, what caps are in the PSU right now?) If lower quality caps (i.e. not low-ESR) were used, they could fail after some time. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.

Did you replace any caps on the main Board?
Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.
