Samsung LC32R32B

I was given this Samsung with a problem that I think can be repaired, the TV works normally with sound etc but the picture has a flickering problem which worsens as the TV warms up. Could this be a power related problem?? The TV does not make any unusual noises during start up or shutdown other than the chimes.
I've connected to it to a SAT receiver and the PC but same problem occurs as shown in the attached photos, in saying this the control panel is not affected while in setup mode.
I have downloaded the service manual and intend to open the TV soonest although some first hand advise would be appreciated from the pro's.

Loose LVDS/T-con maybe?

If you bring up the menu on the tv, is it also affected? I would check for loose cables also like tom suggested. The power supply is unlikely to be the cause, but not saying its impossible.

I suspect T-CON board, try cooling it with freeze spray. The one I have in the picture goes bad and start rolling after it has been on for about 1/2 hour, cold spray the IC's on the T-CON, then the problem goes away. I end up putting heatsink on the IC's. Bad DC can cause strange symptom also. You can try running the T-CON with metal shield remove, it will run cooler, I leave my off.

I took the back off today looking for any loose cables etc although I didn't see anything substantial, After removing the T-con cover I refitted 2 ribbons to the screen which seemed a bit out of place and reset the cable harness to the T-con.
The TV has been and hooked up and running for an hour now with a perfect picture!! I'm inclined to follow Budm advice leave the metal T-con cover off and see if it continues to work.
