Haier 40" LCD HL40XP1

Hi All
another dump special, a Haier HL40XP1 LCD with a broken screen, other than that works fine, all inputs and functions are perfect. So I whip the back off and to my dismay there are absolutely no numbers stamped on the metal frame of the panel at all, no stickers or anything. Haier America wants $808 for a new LCD panel and can't seem to find anyone selling them anywhere.
Anyone know of a seller or, even better, the equivalent panel model # because I hear they are mostly samsung parts anyways.

Generally not worth it to replace an LCD, but who made the inverter? (CMO, LG, Darfon...) Could be a clue as to the panel manufacturer.

my bad, thank you for reminding me, sometimes i don't think about the obvious, and looking at a post of the beloved Philips PFL series, it struck me, and bingo!! on the road to getting the panel replaced for far less than the 8 hundred they want for a haier panel

Hi

I have a Haier HL40XP1 the TV starts and works well then within two minutes the LCD goes black but sound remains. I turn off the tv and start after 5 min same thing happens. Apparently, there are no bulged or leaky capacitors.

Earlier, I was not on badcaps but Tom thanks for helping a bit through email. Any help is highly appreciated
