Per http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2010...-lines-in.html, you likely need a new buffer board. Unfortunately, that y-sustain is very expensive, if you can find one. Maybe you can find a new IPM chip to repair it. If I see anything I'll post it up here.

Can you post a picture of the board you desoldered / attempted to desolder the chip from?

I also did not find any bulged caps on the Zsus or Ysus, nor did I find any blown caps.

Should I still take a picture with the back off with no YSUS board?
What chip did you desolder from the Ysus board?!

You may as well replace the Ysus board, I'd be 98% confident (**made up figure) that it's not causing this problem.

I have heard this may be caused by a failed Y buffer but to me it would seem more like control board or X buffer. You would do well by taking the back off your TV and photographing it so tests can be indicated.

    Vizio Plasma 50HDTV10a problem

    Hello,

I'm trying to fix my plasma tv that has a white vertical column in the center of the screen. The rest of the screen is black but I do have sound. Does any one have any experience with this or have any idea what it could be?

    Thanks!

I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
    1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).

Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
    2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.

No Power problem with Vizio E60-E3
    by rajbot
    Hi all:

I have a Vizio E60-E3 I am trying to troubleshoot a no power problem with. Thanks to the help on this board and elsewhere, I was pretty sure I had narrowed it to a power board problem. The board in question is a 09-60CAP0D0-00. Image attached for reference, but not of my board (tv is put away at the moment). FWIW, no obvious looking issues with the board.

I measured voltage at power in and on the fuse and saw 120V, so power is getting to the board.

On the pins out to the main board, I got no voltage at all on any of the pins. I assumed this...

LG 60PV450 Possible Bad YSUS Need help confirming Diagnosis
    by PlasMatt
I have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television half screen problem
    by renech
    hello,
I hope someone on this forum can assist me.
    I have a panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television.
the lower 1/2 of the screen has become flaky....in and out, then finally goes black and you can only see the top portion.
i have performed the reset to default settings quite a few times. Panasonic recommended..did not believe this would help...it didn't.
I have removed the back panel and looked around for something obvious...burn marks in a board, etc....nothing obvious...
I have read some posts that suggest the problem is related to the boards on the left...

    Thinkpad X1 Carbon "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021" VCC3M problem
    by Zeonalbasta
    i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...
