the lcd has a shadow - not noticeable in bright/dark but at mediums..
is this an aging spot on a 4yr old lcd that will slowly die (i dont mind it much since its in a corner, and less than 2% of the screen), or something that can be fixed? i dont know the history of this tv, as it was left behind by a freeloading roommate in need of a new inverter board fuse i replaced to get it working again with the help of PlainBill.
from what i've read online so far, this is a symptom of the LCD panel breaking down, and nothing will fix it - or, massaging the screen from inside to outside might move 'something stuck between the LCD layers' to the edge - or, reversing the leads (no idea how this works) on the inverter board could reset things and clear it - or, its the flourescent bulb breaking down, and u can replace it. perhaps there are other answers, or someone who will help me figure out how to do one of the above - i dont really know myself. thanks for any comments & help
