I have owned my Samsung LCD TV Le32r74BDX from new and didnt have a problem prior to December last year. I went for a 1 month trip and came back to find the TV was malfunctioning. It shows a grid of multicolored pixels regardless of the input I use. I have tested it on HDMI, Freeview, DVD and even VGA. I disconnected it for about a week and upon plugging it in, it seemed to be functioning ok. then after about 1 minute, the pixels started appearing and then suddenly occupied the whole screen.
I had taken it to storage during the time that I was away. Not sure what could have affected it but I remember reading that UK underwent a month of several nights with temperatures below -10C.
I changed the power board capacitors to eliminate any caps ruined by the freeze but this has not made any change on the TV; it still has the grid of pixels after about 1 minute.
I need some help in troubleshooting; am good with most electronic repair so please offer some suffestions on how to get it back to working order.
The reason I suspect it is repairable is because it displays ok for a 1 minute before showing the grid, this shows the lcd panel seems to be functioning ok, but the signal seems to be getting distorted after 1 minute. I will attach some photos as soon as I can.
