tried a different main board and the problem was cleared; just in case anyone needs to solve this in the future. the cold must have affected a component in the main board.

Hi all,

I have owned my Samsung LCD TV Le32r74BDX from new and didnt have a problem prior to December last year. I went for a 1 month trip and came back to find the TV was malfunctioning. It shows a grid of multicolored pixels regardless of the input I use. I have tested it on HDMI, Freeview, DVD and even VGA. I disconnected it for about a week and upon plugging it in, it seemed to be functioning ok. then after about 1 minute, the pixels started appearing and then suddenly occupied the whole screen.

I had taken it to storage during the time that I was away. Not sure...
