    philips 50pf7521d/10 no display fault

got this tv on the bench just now. power light goes from red to green when powered on, no flashing lights at all. looks ok.

but theres no display. unsure of sound as i cant switch on.

theres a little led8001 on the power supply board. it flashes 10 times. anybody know anything about this fault code?

    thanks. hope you can help.

Hook up a signal source - video game, DVD player, DVR, whatever.

With the TV on, hit the input button to step through the inputs. Stop when you hear the audio.

On teh back of the plasma panel is a white label indicating the voltages. Check them.

im at work right now. taking the multi meter home to test voltages.

inside the set is fairly clean, no odd looking caps.

if the green light stays luminated, im guessing the tv is turning on without display. telling me it could be y sus and buffers, which can be an expensive repair. so im kinda hoping that the tv isnt turning on and its a psu or ssb problem and sus/buffers are fine.

i will hook up a source tonight and see if i get sound.

      thanks plain bill.

      will post back later

update: unplugged all cables from psu one by one.

plasma is now up and running as i unplugged the audio amp card.

        NO SOUND.

when i plug the amp back in, the tv will not come on.

        any ideas?

I think you confirmed the problem yourself. Bad audio amp circuit.

Correct. A fairly common problem with Philips. Possibly the amp IC itself.

And you expect us to guess the part? Post the numbers on the IC.

no, i did not expect you to guess, i wasnt asking for help to find it. i got enough help identifying the problem, which i am grateful for.

That number is the number of the bare board. As a very simple rule of thumb, ALWAYS use a number on a printed label in preference to something screened on the board.

The number you should be searching for is 313926722301. It is available from suppliers in the USA, England, and France ad widely varying prices.

                      Hi, 1st post.

I have this tv, and have the same issue above, the power light comes on, goes green on the front, and a constant green instantly on the PSU board, i get 1 relay click and thats it.. the remote seems to operate assuming that by the front green led reacts to the remote commands...
Ive unplugged the audio board like the previous poster and powered on but still no display...
This tv whilst watching sky through hdmi just lost picture for no reason, green light stayed on front and rear, but no display..
Could the backlight be the issue? Ive looked at all the caps and feel that none are suspect...
My other option is to buy the 50pf7521d/10 repair kit which comes with all the boards but will cost if to find that after all that it still wont power on...
Ive checked all the fuses on the 3 boards and still no display?

                      Any suggestions?

                          I got a 50PF7521D/12 with a PSU labelled LJ44.0018A.
Is it the same as yours ?
