Hi to you all! Im new to the forum and read all the threads in here to see if i can find a solution for my problem but the closest thread is about a tv set with a master and a slave inveter module. Mine is a 42lg50-ug and its a single back light inverter tv set....I took a look to the back of the tv, when i turned it on i can see the back lights seem to be working fine, no obvious signs of blown caps or transistors in the power supply. Theres a ghost image and the sound is ok, So, what is the most common issue that affects this model when something like this happens? Thanks in advance for your help...

Thanks for the reply, actually thought about it since i checked almost every point possible with a multimeter. Thanks again, I guess that mainboard is way too expensive so it will be better to dump that TV..........Comment

My standards may be off, but it would seem to me that even $140 for a used board would be less expensive than buying a new TV.

by droneratHi Guys,
This forum has been in great help to me, but I stumbled upon a strange problem with a salvaged Samsung TV that I am banging my head to troubleshoot.
PSU: L48S6 FHS BN44-00807D
T-Con: BN95-01937A
Panel: CY-GJ048HGLVLH
MB: NA (Currently as the TV is assembled and forgot to take picture)
As I said earlier I have some issues with the TV I got from a friend of mine. The TV had no picture, but sound, back light and everything else was working fine.
It was sent to an authorized service for repairs and returned with the... -
by jchangHi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon... -

by kcaHello all ~
I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.
This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.
No picture. No sound.
I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply... - Loading...
