Samsung cu8000

Just quick question. This is brand new tv and was shipped and this is what happened on first turn out.

Without any diagnosing is this a problem with Tcon most likely or with panel?

Any advice from anyone who has seen this before.

Just want to know if it's fixable and should waste time or not (is free haven't picked up)

The non flat edge along the bottom of what picture we see, suggests a cracked panel to me.
