Samsung UHD UN60HU85550 Oragne Tint?

Hello all,
I just got this nice looking Samsung but immediately upon power up, I could tell the center of the screen is a bit orange?

See photos. I have seen blue tint where LEDs go bad, but I've never seen this - I hate edge-Lit TVs, but I am wondering if there is a way to fix this. I reset image to factory.

Any help is appreciated.

These models are edgelit from the sides instead of the bottom. Every model I’ve see with this style has this problem. Not sure if it’s fixable or not. The plexiglass diffuser on these are different than the bottom edgelit one. So I think it may have something to do with that.

I was hoping someone had experienced this and maybe a new LED Set (stronger / newer) would do the trick. So you think aged plexiglass is the problem?

You can try new leds. I never did because it’s bright white on the edges. So I assumed the leds were fine.

I have an 75” hu8500 and a 65” hu8500 and also a 65” h7150 all with the same problem. I’m just assuming it’s aged plexiglass. Feel free to open it up and mess with it. Let me know if you have any success or what your finding are.

If aged plexiglass, why not yellowish on the edge? New Led Strips are not available and out of stock at SJ, unfortunately, so i cant test the theory

Bad leds can show yellow also

Thanks Davi.p, as you see in photo, right where the LEDs are (L/R) , it looks fairly white, and progressively gets yellowish towards the center. Trying to figure out if new LED set would take care of this or not? fairly expensive test, so I'm trying to get as much confirmation as I can before I go that route. Thanks again

Not a test, you can dismount it to the leds and see if the yellow phosphor is gotten darker
