    LG 32LF11 P/S Part # EAX55176301/10 Cap info

I recently replaced the caps in my TV. Model and power supply part number is in title. I wanted to upload the info in case it will help others. Example, TV works but sort of iffy and don't want to disassemble or caps blew up beyond recognition. If one gets confused as to polarity, this should help too. The caps are about gone but still in one piece, just expanding a bit.

With those images, anyone who can drive a soldering iron should be able to make repairs, even if the caps went to dust.

I have other pics of other boards for this TV if someone needs them. They are not close up like pics of the caps but they good overall pics. If one asks nicely, I might could be talked into taking TV off the wall, removing the back and taking more detailed pics.

Hope this helps someone else. If it does, please post. Let me know it helped.

Edit: It seems I can't include pics. Attaching them instead.

Seasonic B12 BC-550 – barely 2 years old and with BAD CAPS already!

I know I've been a little scarce lately (like the last 2-3 years), but I'm still here and still doing my thing with fixing PSUs.

For today's considerations, I have a Seasonic B12 BC-550 [A551bcafh] 550 Watt ATX power supply for you (click on links for full size images).

It's a modern ATX unit with fixed (non-modular) cables and an 80-plus bronze certificate. Here's the label:

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
    by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Chemi-con ends production of large part of caps
    by Behemot
Been recently informed that NCC is EoL'ing many caps from ALL series, some series (like LE, long life, medium ESR/RC) will end as a whole.

From what I've seen, D5, D6.3 and D8 caps are affected. So ALL the small caps, either standard or low-ESR, and many caps in filtering (in D8, especially FSP, but many others use that in output filters in SMPS).

Last order accepted in 2024, so I will try to restock and pre-stock as many as possible to keep them caps flowing, but at the very last about 2030 I will most likely run out. Could only hope that other manufacturers won't...

Finding the wrong part at a loooong led strip, part works fine, part flickers, all parallel...
    by edugimeno
    Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...
