Sony Bravia XBR-65A8F, no turn on

TV does nothing when turning on, if I do a power/-vol and then plug in I have a solid green light but nothing else. I purchased a harvested Power supply and Logic board. Installing the PS had no changes but the Logic board gave me 1 white flash an 4 or 5 repeating red flashes.I tried a firmware update using the update file 3 times with 3 recomended files, no power, insert thumb drive and and power up, nothing happened.
Board vendor says board is bad and will provide replacement but does not have any. Sony want $500 with $150 core refund.

Am I on the right track or should I be checking something else

    TIA

Forget all the above, the Tcon board connectors were unpluged. Once I plugged them in the mother fired right up

      Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
      by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
      CN6401
      Pin 01 NC
      Pin 02 NC
      Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
      Pin 04 "N/C"
      Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
      Pin 06 "GND": N/C
      Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

Sony Vaio SVS MBX-261 board failure
      by delpiero3
Hi everyone, newcomer in this forum, i watched tons of video from Sorin, i like the way i calmly explain things, i did quite some console repair, i am not that bad at micro-soldering, but troubleshooting where the issue is, is definitely where i still have progress to make. Usually i was able to fix the console because the failure was obvious, or because i was able to find someone with similar measures on the board and was pinpointing what to replace that way.
Nevertheless, let's say, i don't come as a total beginner.
I have this old laptop, which suit perfectly my needs, with the...

HP ENVY X360 15-EU0005NA 203037-2 does not turn on, something whistles on the board.
      by brzostos
Hello, HP laptop model 15-EU0005NA. It does not turn on, 1 in 100 manages to turn it on then after a while it freezes/disappears/flashes, etc.

After removing the motherboard and connecting the board with RAM to the power supply, I noticed that at first all voltages start correctly and after a few seconds 3.3V on the PL4501 coil disappears and somewhere in this area something starts beeping on the board, sometimes after touching it with a finger in the area of PL4551 it stops beeping and 3.3V appears again.

Original HP 150W power supply, the diode in the power socket lights...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      Assuming...

Sony Bravia XBR 55X900E cycling through test patterns: which board(s) to replace?
      by patricksurry
We had a power outage but TV seemed to be working fine afterward. This morning it showed a "grainy" picture, and then next time we turned it on it's stuck in a test-pattern loop. None of the resets I've tried have any effect, including unplug/wait/plug in - it immediately goes into this cycling test pattern.

Does this suggest the main board needs replaced? The TV is about 5 years old, picture still looks great (tho limiting to crisp red/green/blue/white lacks some variety ...
