    psu Corsair vs500w

    Good day to all after 2 years this psu, died, i don`t think it´s worth fixing it , since i have lot´s of time to kill, i gave it a go,i`m just an amateur it turned out blown fuse, traced the reason bad mosfet not blowing fuses now, here´s my problem i removed the secondary capacitors, for testing, marked the position of each cap, on a piece of paper, lost the paper, can someone help me, where each cap goes, corsair vs500

      Orange and red wires are 3.3 and 5v, there you will use 6.3 or 10V caps. Yellow wires are 12v, and there you put 16V caps.

              Sensor on Aurora AS1018CD paper shredder doesn't work

              I'm getting frustrated troubleshooting a paper shredder. The way the shredder normally works is when you turn the power on, nothing happens until you insert a piece of paper. There is an IR shredder in the shredder and inserting the paper breaks the beam and starts the shredder motor. But now the motor runs constantly, even when no paper is inserted. I've replaced the photodiode and the IR emitter. Also the relay makes a nice clicking sound so I assume it is working too. I don't know what else to check. Here's a photo of the circuit board.               Hello everyone,




              I'm encountering a frustrating issue with my Corsair SFX 450 power supply. After an undefined period of operation, my PC will either suddenly restart or, in some cases, it won't start at all until I disconnect the power cable and reconnect it. This erratic behavior occurs intermittently, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact conditions under which it happens.

              PROBLEM SOLVED
              I DIDN'T REALISE MY SMALLEST SOLDERING TIP COULD JUST FIT BETWEEN THESE COMPONENTS.
              I MANAGED TO REMOVE THEM WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE BOARD AND I HAVE MY INTENDED END RESULT.

              On a Possio PM70 portable fax machine which has a scanner that detects when you push a piece of paper into the scanner slot.
              It is these two small (3mm long) components that detect the paper and start the scanner feed motor which pulls the paper into the scanner.
              (These are on the circuit board for the keypad and not the main board)

              Corsair HX1200 connected w EVGA molex cable, 12V pin back feeded to 5V. Anybody has experience in this damages repair?

              The power supply is 2020 Corsair HX1200 modular power supply.

              Cause of damage: I connected EVGA molex cable to the Sata port and test it with a ATX tester. Since the pin out on the EVGA is wrong, result in the 12V pin shorted to the 5V pin, in the 12V back-feeded to the 5v port.

              Damage: Power supply shorted out, shut off itself internally, damaged the 5v or 3v rail or the monitoring circuitry. The self protection circuit shut off the power supply when power up because it detected some abnormal/defect. I waited a few minutes, let it self reset then try to re power up....
