Okay,so I got two PSUs from a friend that was going to throw them away. One is a Premier LC-B350ATX (made by Deer/L&C) and the other is a ALine LC-8500BTX (which strangely isn't made by Deer this time, but Yuelin. Found that out as the PCB reads YLP-010.).
Now the question is - which one do you think I should rebuild? I rebuilt the Premier more as a fun project on a rainy day, because I really had nothing else to do.
-Most of the secondary silicon is upgraded now (only 12v has a 10A ultrafast because I didn't have any other 60-200VRRM rectifier - 5v and 3.3v both have SBL3040PTs.)
-I replaced the Globe Fan with a Jamicon fan, full w/ header.
-reused sheatsinks from my defunct Fortrex/JNC LC-B300ATX (it had thick heatsinks and PFC,chose not to transplant the PFC onto this one because of airflow reasons.)
-replaced the wimpy GINCON 330uF caps with larger light blue 470uF YC/Saturn caps
-primary sillicon was left untouched (2SC5706 I think) because I don't have better transistors now (well, maybe 13007s
)
-complete input filter
-EI-33ASG transformer left untouched
-secondary side has almost all cap places populated (except one near the coil next to the 5v rectifier,I'll need a small diameter cap in there so unpopulated for now) and all PI coils added. (can you imagine this thing actually had a PI coil as the 3.3v choke? I replaced that with a proper choke.)
And that's all. I also have a true ERL-35 transformer (marked YE ERL-35WGP/50-12) I took out of a dead Kaisen.
Some info about the Yuelin:
-EI-33 4.5mH HM transformer
-Canicon (no ya can't
) caps EVERYWHERE
-a fan branded just FAN! (lmao)
-5v - 30a rectifier,3.3v - 30A rectifier,12v - 12A rectifier
-"Jairchild" 13009 transistors (though the logo resembles more like a handwritten T)
-no idea about the standby transistor
-no input filtering whatsoever.
Let me know which one do you think I should rebuild.
