I bought this psu about 10 years ago for my p4 rig. Yesterday that pc broke and i took its psu. It's a seasonic ss-300-fs apfc. Caps on the secondary are "Pce-tur". 2 of them are bulging and 2 are leaking. What are adequate replacements and is it worth recapping?

Re: seasonic ss-300fs apfc worth recapping?
Looks like a pretty good PSU to me. I would definitely recap it. 300 Watts should be more than enough for a mid-range modern system today (something with perhaps a 60-90 Watt TDP CPU and a 20-100 Watt TDP GPU).
I don't have the datasheets for Pce-Tur and Pce-Tul caps, but from what I remember reading some time ago, they don't have specs that are anything spectacular. So even something like Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, and United Chemicon LXZ/LXV/LXY would be okay. I'm sure that any of these will work too:
Panasonic FK, FR, and FM
Nichicon HE, PS, PM, PJ, and PW
Chemicon KY, KYB, KYA, KZE
Rubycon ZL

by momakaI know I've been a little scarce lately (like the last 2-3 years), but I'm still here and still doing my thing with fixing PSUs.
For today's considerations, I have a Seasonic B12 BC-550 [A551bcafh] 550 Watt ATX power supply for you (click on links for full size images).

It's a modern ATX unit with fixed (non-modular) cables and an 80-plus bronze certificate. Here's the label:

This person's fault was exactly the same as mine, even down to the power strip and with the muffled popping sound.
I suspect that my problem started with an old power strip, of which a computer and a 2000W heater were plugged into...
I noticed melting and heat where the heater was plugged in, so i plugged the heater directly into a double wall socket, but still noticed the muffled pop sound when i turned on the computer, and... -
by mrmazdaOnly two search hits here, one casually mentioning lower/middle calibre many many moons ago, not terribly helpful, and the other, simply exposure to it, and neither included the RU suffix. Is this a design worth recapping to keep a 10-15 year old PC operational?
I replaced the obviously bad Ltec LZP 2200uF 16V and the obviously bad pair of CapXon GS 18x40 620uF 200V with Nichicon 22x50 UPT. It lights up my digital PS tester with suitable voltages, but it emits a screechy squeal that just drowns out the two 80mm fans. It probably would only very slightly annoy installed in a PC in... -
by proxneoDear reader
I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.
At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:
3 x 470uF 10VDC
3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
4 x 47uF 50VDC
8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
5 x 100uF 6.3VDC
Which...-
