    Samsung HT-THX23 Psu Repair

Got this media receiver in a few months back finally decided to upload the repair log and make a thread pon the repair. The original fault was stuck in stndby/no power. Upon opening the cases I found:

    1* 1000uf 35v Capxon Gl failed
    2* 100uf 50v Capxon Gf failed

Shorted Zenner diode on the feed back circuit for the 35v B+ audio rail causing its coupling caps to blow out.

Sorry for the bland thread, video explains all link to video of repair explaination:

Didn't know you had a YouTube channel. Cool.

I wonder what made the original zener blow. Perhaps the bad CapXons? I wouldn't be surprised anyways.

Also, the video ended funny. You turned the volume up and the voices from the speaker said,
    Voice 1: It it alright?
    Voice 2: No it f***ing ain't alright.
So moral of the story: CapXon is not "alright"

Hahaha I wasn't supposed to include that and put that clip as a blooper whoops lol F'n Capxon alright this failure was strange possibly the cap cased the feed back circuit to mess up which blew the diode or vise versa but whatever lol

Okay, sorry for the off-topic, but what camera do you use? I am just wondering, because I have a camcoder that uses MiniDV and the quality isn't that great on my videos. It can capture in 640x480, which isn't terrible, but it can only do it in interlaced mode, and that really kills the quality.
I haven't uploaded anything, but I am thinking about starting a channel as well. Just wondering if you could point me to a cheap but decent camera

            Dear Reecey:
--Nice fix and cool video. Thanks. When you have time and money please consider using a tripod. I get car sick very easily. Also more light would be nice. Still, all and all, a very helpful, and informative piece.
            Cheers!

I appreciate that, but I haven't made one yet. Probably will be a while before I do, anyways. Also need start piecing together some of the videos I shot before that.
Argh, I do things so slowly .
