external/brick LCD power supply whine, annoying, but only in standby

here's an FFT analysis. It's pretty noticeable from 10 feet away in bed [click box link to view image]:

Brand new with QNIX QX320QHD. I could:

    1. contact seller for another one. Will the new one have problem?
    2. find another 6a12v supply from a reputable source (where do I find one of those?)
    3. disassemble and stick shoe glue on all the transformers/caps? I don't konw how to crack it open though.
    4. [preferable/easiest] build a sound deadener thing out of an old amazon/newegg box and some cheap home depot foam. can give breathing room, but still worried about a bit of heat ....

    Make/model is SAWA-02-600, like this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Sanhu...013102233.html

Easiest solution would be to add some minimum load resistors. It will burn a bit of extra power but will get rid of the noise. The power brick is poorly designed and oscillates with low or no load, hence the whine.

    A working TV? How boring!

so it already idles at 7w-- or at least consumes 7w-- instead of the 0.5w standby that it's supposed to be. You think more would help? Also, I am handy with glue just stick it in there, but I wouldn't actually yeah I would. Nevermind. But still, it already uses 7w at idle, so...

it does have 2 screws under the rubber feet on it, I'm hoping it's a clamshell that I could easily crack open and not bonded/plastic-welded shut

Is that 7W idle with the brick plugged into the monitor? If not, that doesn't seem right at all. It might be fooling your power meter.

And where were those 7W measured?
