Is this a good PSU

Im building a mini itx gaming pc soon which will have an i5, and i havent decided on the gpu yet... but will this psu be good enough?

ATM i have a ocz 500w psu with teapo caps and its nearly 4 years old... so im replacing it when i make my new pc

That's all I can find on it... Seasonic build, so it should be solid. The only issue I'd write home about would be the reported loud fan (high fan speeds)... Which may or may not be an issue depending on how loud the GPU you pick is and how much noise bothers you.

PS- What numbnuts thought "XXX edition" was a good name... Not exactly PSU porn now is it (that would be an Ablecom/supermicro, zippy, or other workstation build, not gamer crap like this).

i aslo could swap the fan out of my ocz psu which is silent or use a corsair quiet fan instead

if its quiet underr light load i will be happy, eg watching movies, youtube and web browsing.... i dont mind if it gets loud while playing games because my graphics card will probably be louder

The PSUs fan might be louder because it moves more air. Then again, there are some efficient and quiet fans out there. I'd just be weary of it possibly not providing enough air flow.

Fan will rotate at low rpm with little or no noise up to 40% load (300W):


So basically only GPU draw while gaming will revv it up.
