How to test laptop AC adapter

I have a Lenovo 65W AC adapter for my laptop. It has a household plug on one end and a USB-C connector on the other. It's not charging so I tested the removable wire with the household plug and it works (I get full mains voltage). But how to I test the USB-C end of the cable since one end of it is hardwired into the "brick"?

I've done that and still have the problem. So I'd like to try to repair this charger. But first I'd like to narrow down whether the problem is in the transformer, the wire, or the USB connector at the end of the wire.

usb AND a fixed cable = bastards.
            totally un-needed behaviour!
