Powerline networking (Devolo DLAN 200) not connecting

Is this the right board? Sorry if not.

I've got a pair of these plugs for ethernet over powerline. Today it stopped working - both plugs power on, both detect ethernet connections, and wireless works on the receiving end. But there's no connection between the two, and the receiver has a smell like a burnt circuit board.

I've opened both sides up but there are no bulged capacitors at either end. There is a fuse on the receiver, but if that was blown would it power on at all? Unfortunately my DMM is broken so I can't easily test the fuse.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? It's a Model: MT2130 board and I can post pictures if anyone is interested in helping me debug.

    Thanks.

Could be the transformer between main board and the line. Please, post the pictures.

Thanks for responding. These photos are from the receiver, the bottom of the board is a little dark because I'd have to desolder it to get it out of the casing.

Have you taken a look at what is under the foam on the circuitboard? Probably a chip, just want to see if it looks fried or not.

I'll take it off this afternoon and get back to you. If it is fried, I'm not being overly pessimistic to think that my chances of being able to replace it with a cheap soldering iron are slim, right?

Also I bought a compatible replacement pair yesterday and I've verified that the sending side of the original pair works with the new set but the receiver doesn't, so it is the one I posted pictures of that's blown. (if I can fix it it would still be useful as a spare or for learning)

No, the chance of repairing an SMD chip with a regular soldering iron is quite slim

Does the receiver's indicator lights turn on at all? That may give us a clue also as to what might be wrong (power supply failure?).

Turns out the problem was software based - the encryption had erroneously come on at once side of the powerline but not the other, and a hard reset (holding down buttons) fixed it. Sorry for wasting your time

Running out of Ideas, hoping someone smart can provide some for my ONKYO TX-SR353 Receiver
                by CDNBrewer
                Hello Everyone,

I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 Audio/Video Receiver (5.1 ch with HDMI) that I am having a really hard time diagnosing and I'm about to throw this in the junk and go buy a new unit that is on sale until the 7th.

                Symptoms:
                • Intermittent (part of the reason why i'm having a hard time isolating problem), sometimes will work for 10+h at a time without issue
                • Original symptom was wife reported loud banging noise (like someone was banging on the wall with their fists) from the LEFT SURROUND speaker and then the unit shut off.
                • I swapped the Left and Right surround
                ...

wireless receiver for 6 speeds fan control with remote control
                by wolf1976
hi i have a receiver that is destroyed from the overvoltage i guess
my question is has three wires u v w for driving a motor fan i found an other receiver wireless from aliexpresss with the same propertiew but for dc motor
the motor fan has not label
i have an other receiver operational
In your opinion can i measure the voltage at the output ?
what do you suggest me with a simple instrument multimeter or using someone instrument more specific ?
                thanks in advance...
