I am interested mainly in the model labeled NPS-300CB, but is there some general OEM supplier of ATX PSU's for Fujtisu Siemens? Would like to know what I can expect inside…

Re: Who is OEM for Fujitsu Siemens?
The label with the ratings has the template of Delta power supplies
The UL number (E131881) belongs to a Delta power supply:
http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/t...374&sequence=1
Should be a good power supply, the wattage for the rails is certainly adequate for 300w psu.
PS. In general, look for an UL number (the number below the logo looking like a flipped UR text), then you can find who makes it here: http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/t...RAME/index.htm (paste code on UL file number)
Then look on the PCB or on the transformers.. for example CWT likes to use a dark green tape on the transformers and has the CWT on the code.Last edited by mariushm; 05-16-2012, 07:52 AM.

Delta, that means Fuhjyuu, CapXon, Teapo or something like that…gonna grab it and recap, I can still make a buck or two on that, I hope…
This particular one looks interesting, it seems the fan actually pushes air through the unit, not pulling it from it.Last edited by Behemot; 05-16-2012, 08:18 AM.Less jewellery, more gold into electrotech industry!Half of the computer problems is caused by bad contacts

capxon on the small caps if it is a lower series... but F-you and teapos are Not found in delta PSUs.
You may find lelons in lower end units... higher end ones use UCC and other good japanese brands.sigpic

Umm. I got only older models in my hands, but they were usually full of crap. Sure, we know that Delta has that solved by stressing them less, but still better to change them. Not sure about the newer lines, but this one is definitelly NOT so newLess jewellery, more gold into electrotech industry!Half of the computer problems is caused by bad contacts

Re: Who is OEM for Fujitsu Siemens?
I've seen both good and so-so older Deltas. I have to think the pictured 240W running my fileserver 24/7 for the past decade is pretty good, don't recall if it has NCC, Nichicon, Rubycon, or more than one of those brands in it though it may be from their small server lineup, I vaguely recall they couldn't fit all the components on the main PCB so it had the input filtering, rectification and high side capacitors on a 2nd inverted PCB screwed to the top (not pictured).
Seems like I bought about 5 of those around 2001 and the one pictured happened to have a manufacturing defect in that a small capacitor was installed backwards and vented as a result.
I also had pretty good results with a few 300W DPS-300BB models built for Acer servers or workstations, don't recall any of them failing. They're the same as larrymoencurly pictured on the right in the following post, I vaguely recall I had to hack those over at Anandtech forums to figure out they needed more of a load on the 3.3V rail than many systems provided in order to keep them turned on which might seem like a bad thing but the value for the price paid was great: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...4&postcount=19
Then there were the Deltas in OEM "PCs", definitely one or two grades lower quality overall.Last edited by 999999999; 05-16-2012, 09:50 AM.

Technically, that model is from the Newton Power division of Delta Products. Not that that's especially critical.PeteS in CA
Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.
