by rafaa_2000Hello,
I am working on a Dell Latitude 5520 motherboard (SouthPeak15 TGL MB 8L model). When I plug in the charger and take measurements at the MOSFETs (Q7408 and Q7421), I get a voltage of 5V.
I have measured all the voltages as well as the resistances of the coils, which you can see in the attached photo.
After removing the MPNR 2941B147 (PU5001) component, the voltage at the MOSFETs (Q7408 and Q7421) increased to 20V. I also took new voltage measurements, and the results are available in the photo.

by diamonI have bought a not complete and defective Dell Latitude 5520 for parts (needed the networkconnector (RJ45) to repair a other board).
Have repaired the other board (Dell Latitude 5540) and I wanted to know if I could find out what is wrong with the 5520 board (SouthPeak15 TGL MB 8L 19819-1) and perhaps repair this one also.
After connecting the USB-C charger (both USB-C ports on the laptop, does not have an other option) and pressing the power button, nothing happens (no lights or fans, no capslock).
Have checked with a thermal camera, and there are a couple of things...3 Photos -
by diamonI have a Dell Latitude 5530 with a damaged RJ45 network connector. See the attached pictures.
Have already searched on Farnell / Aliexpress / Ebay and had contact with several suppliers on Aliexpress and Ebay, but they cannot deliver this connector.
Is there someone inside the EU, who has these connector(s) or perhaps defective motherboard(s) for these laptop models I have mentioned in the topic title.

Good day everyone.
Got a dell latitude 5285 with motherboard version LA-D89 in the shop today which won't power on. So I opened her up, disconnected the battery and hooked up a charger to see if anything stands out on the board.
I was instantly greeted with the evil glow of a burnt component. Turns out that what looks like a mosfet with silkscreen marking U7 next to it has burnt out. Been looking for a schematic and boardview to check which component it is but have not been able to find one.
Anyone on here have the files laying around?-
