Hello everyone, I'm trying to fix acer ES1-511-C29D that doesn't have image. I have found schematic for board LA-B511P, but it's hard to measure components because lot of them aren't labeled. Does anyone have boardview for this?

Re: LA-B511P Boardview (Acer ES1-511)
It's me again, I'm having problems with this board. All always on power rails (+1..0ALW, +1.8ALW, +3VALW, +5ALW, B+) are present when I power this board off bench power supply. With it just plugged in it draws around 30mA. When I press power button, current draw jumps to around 150-170mA for a few seconds, then returns to 30ma. Power LED lights in same pattern(turns on, then off after few seconds). This cycle repeats three times, after that board shuts off.
When it starts turning on I can measure +3VS and +5VS, from which other rails are generated. Problem is with SUSP(#) signal, because it shows up then turns off, and because of that system power rails turns off and on.
What controls SUSP and SUSP# signals, and why doesn't it stay on completely? I'm new to board repairs, so I would really appreciate some help with thisComment

This could be many things ....Bios ? check dcjack led lighting up... see if caps work or if you plug something in usb if it lights up like a keyboard or mouse a bad memory socket try one stick at a time see if it come alive if yes double up the memory on the good socket and call it a day.. Cpu missing 32mhz crystal single missing core voltage not correct
Reply back ?

I don't have bios programmer, I should probaly order one. I will try to test that tommorow, we are in different time zones. This board only has one ram slot, and it is populate with known good memory( 4gb, 1600mz ddr3l)Comment

Re: LA-B511P Boardview (Acer ES1-511)
After more measuring I'm missing +1.35V, +1.35VS and +0.675VS, all generated by same IC(PU501 or RT8207MZQW). I've noticed that that there is 0.4V on pin 9 of that IC with label TON when board is just plugged in, but when I turn it on it goes to 0V. That pin is pulled up to B+, which in this case is 19V, via 887K resistor. There is also no output from that IC on pins UGATE and LGATE, which drive two mosfets.
SYSON behaves just like SUSP, turns on and offComment

Re: LA-B511P Boardview (Acer ES1-511)
I have ordered CH341 bios flasher and adapter to DIP. As it is from china, it's gonna take a month or so to arrive here. Maybe I will try something with raspberry pi or arduino, it looks like it's possible to flash bios with those two. Until then, thanks for your helpComment

I would have told you to buy the TL866-A with opt adapters around $100.00 bucks it just about does most of the chips and programmer is easy to use and i had mine for years no problem accept worn out adapters.I have ordered CH341 bios flasher and adapter to DIP. Yes, SPI ROM can be flashed using a Raspberry Pi. Connect the chip to the Rasp's SPI bus (you'll probably need to desolder it first) and use 'flashrom' to dump&flash. Works great, you'll find more info on the win-raid forum.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

I have checked that, there is no short on data pins, on both usb 2.0 and 3.0 connectors. Thanks for the idea. Now I'm waiting on bios programmer so I can try reflashing biosComment

by glaghi,
I'm looking for boardview and schematics for acer swift 3 SF314-512T-56CT (this model https://store.acer.com/en-us/swift-3...f314-512t-56ct).
this is my personal laptop and i want these for a few mods and for future reference (i have a tendency to break stuff
but at least I'm good at fixing them).
first i want to swap the memory chips in order to add more ram, (i have the tools and experience for BGA and reballing).
from what i understand this process will be to swap the chips and to reconfigure the memory straps or to write a custom bios.
