BV and Schem for ZKWAE LA B302P r1.0

Hi all,

Have a toshiba c55d-b5308 that only displays front power light (white) indicator.

Machine has no fan spin, etc., just a brick on the desk.

Does anyone have the boardview and schematic for this?

Check all the 0805 ceramic caps around the switchmode MOSFETs and coils on those boards. I've had quite a few where the caps have cracked and shorted.

Just get the multimeter in diode-test mode and go around checking them all. VCPU/CORE and VGPU will tend to read close to zero though but the others should be more like 0.5V or higher.

I did find one 0805 that was reading 0 on both sides. To replace this (and others) is there a specific manufacturers part number (size of cap in terms of dimensions) or should ordering a bunch of 10 Ferrite 0805s be sufficient?

Also, without the schematic, where would I locate the rails containing VCPU/CORE and VGPU?

You really need to find the part value. Is it a cap? Does it look fractured?
