Re: Openflex Boardview: New boardview software (linux, windows and OSX)
Thanks. There's a fellow piernov who will probably be working on that over the next couple of days. The separate file format and one of the existing brd formats are quite similar, just the one we've already done everything is consolidated in to a single file (rather than split in to separate ones).
You can keep track with development if you like at this URL -

Re: Openflex Boardview: New boardview software (linux, windows and OSX)
Yep, they're all relating to the lack of the FZ Key sadly.
Because it's Open source software, we cannot legally supply it with the required FZ decoding key (it's available, many people have it, but we cannot provide it).
One of those annoying issues
I might talk with piernov and see what we can do about making those "Assert" errors a little more human readable, thanks.

If anyone reading this is also having troubles with their key disappearing, edit the obv.conf file, remove all dud/duplicate lines starting with FZKey = , so that you have only a single one left with the right key in it.
After that single entry, place at the bottom of a file, some random comment line, such as;
# end of configuration
FZKey = 0x25d8d248 0xe1502405 0x56b5d486 ... 0x0681955f ( and a lot more after that )
# end of configuration file
