I need your advice in diagnosing a motherboard issue on a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05, motherboard HS45A/HS55A Rev 1.0 NM-D461 (2020-11-02).
Symptoms:
The laptop does not power on and does not respond to the power button.
Background:
According to the owner, her child was playing on the laptop when it suddenly shut down.
What has been done so far:
Original charger is missing; the non-original one was tested and found faulty (0 V output).
Using a lab power supply (20 V, 0.5 A) — no activity on the board, no LEDs, no standby voltages.... -
MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

I have a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro rev1.0 that doesn't work. I know the motherboard is at fault because the CPU, RAM and power supply have all been tested with a known good motherboard (including after trying them in the faulty board to check it hadn't killed them).
Thanks to some people on this website and elsewhere on the internet, I have a schematic and boardview for the WiFi version of this board, a schematic for the Elite version of this board (same board but cut down on features) and repair guides for other AM4 boards, one of which is for an Asus Tuf Gaming... -
After attempting to upgrade the soldered 1216 Wifi module my motherboard no longer turns on. The board works before the upgrade attempt so that would certainly mean some components got knocked off accidentally but I can not find any missing components. I have thoroughly checked the whole board multiple times so lets do some tests from scratch.
Things that currently work:- USB-C PD for 20V
- Battery charging
- VCC5M and VCC5_PD
- VCC3M
- VCCPCHCORE (1.8V)
