    G713-6050A3254002-MB-A01(A1)

Hello. I'm here because I took a gamble and bought a liquid damaged Asus an I was hopping I could get some help with the schematics . There were a few caps affected by corrosion but after replacing them there was still no sign of life. I know I'm being optimistic with the repair but hey, I have nothing to lose and I might learn a thing or two in the process. The board number is G713-6050A3254002-MB-A01(A1)
I would be very grateful and ill make sure I follow with an update and a donation of course.

        NVidia bumpgate
        by piernov
Just archiving everything related to bumpgate since most stuff has disappeared from Google. Maybe people will finally take the time to read some of it and stop shouting "reflow gpu" at every occasion but rather try to understand what the real issue is…
Interesting parts about the failure analysis are "Why Nvidia's chips are defective" and "Why Nvidia's duff chips are due to shoddy engineering"

May complete this post at a later date with more details.
Basically issue is a combination of thermal dissipation of the chip with hotspot,...

        Macbook A2338 820-02020 not booting
        by reformatt
Was scratching my head a bit for this one so posting it here as I've seen nothing like it elsewhere. Fault presentation is 5V on both USB ports, loops from 0 to 0.1A repeatedly. No apparent shorts, and board is clean other than a corrosion spot directly under the CPU (I'm guessing from dead insect decomposing). Components affected are C8126, C8127, R2107, R2106, R2109, R2108. The worst damage was the two caps and R2107. Caps just fell off and nothing left of the pads. Pads for the resistors all looked ok so I thought how lucky is that.

So replaced all 4 resistors but the fault still...

Macbook pro 13 A2442 820-02098 Touch ID doubt
        by sdogs
I have a macbook pro 14.1 A2442 that has had contact with liquid, the affected area is the one near the touch id connector (see image). I carefully cleaned the affected area but the UT600 chip (LM3638A0) seems to be in poor condition and probably needs to be replaced.
I searched online and found the replacement but it is indicated as a spare part for iphone 6 and 6 plus and at this point I had a doubt, does this chip have some type of programming?
Forgive the question, I'm just an enthusiast but I had this doubt and before ordering the spare part I wanted to be sure I wasn't doing...

        2020 LG 75UM8070PUA 4K problem
        by bscottjohnston
Opinion time - anyone ever fix one of these? I just fluxed and reflowed the BGA along with some thermal epoxy on the heatsink for the logic/motherboard and the issue is still the same (refer to video attached). Anyone think this is worth the gamble buying the complete board kit from SJ? $125 gets me a PSU, Tcon and Main/Logic. "Mouse" control works on screen until the crash. Would you gamble?

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
        by ttmi100x
        Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

        Upon closer inspection...
