Symptoms: Laptop powers on but no picture on screen.
I have already checked voltages and all is present. I have checked resistance on the coils to see if the chipset or cpu might be shorted. All resistances look normal. I am working on an Acer AL14-31P-C8KV laptop (S/N: NXKS8EA0013490A9C74500) with board number T140AN Rev 3.0A.
I received this unit for repair, but I am uncertain if the current BIOS is correct. There are clear signs of previous work – I noticed flux residue around the BIOS chip, which suggests the BIOS may have been tampered with or reprogrammed before. Because of this, I am not confident that the backup BIN I have is the original dump or if it belongs to this exact machine.
Could you please assist me with:- A clean BIOS BIN for this
