hi please sorry for not giving feedback after programing the bios. after i program the bios it get to the logo then immediately goes off, i tried several times but same result. so went for the original bios dump then program it, still stuck at the logo then goes off immediately. please am i doing something wrong? i need help.. thank youComment

I have a perfectly working Surface Laptop 3, bought second hand. It is model 1872
Seller forgot to mention that it has UEFI password protection.
I managed to read the BIOS
Could someone please give me the password from the BIOS dump?

Hi all
I have received about 5pcs of Surface Laptop 3 model 1872 which have BIOS password.
Some time ago i unlocked already one with the kind help of a forum member, but i think is too much to ask for 5 unlocks.
Could anybody share some info with me, how can i find location of the string 3F which i need to modify to 3C?
It would be a big help, either on forum or in PM.

Hello everyone, I write in case you can help me with my little Surface. I am a person who wants to try to fix something and usually gets into more trouble.
I have been trying to get the materials for 8 months to be able to desolder and flash the bios. After getting the programmer and the hot air station, I killed the surface.
I have managed to extract the Bios from the chip and modify with HxD the region Me, to leave it clean, using the files of the same version.

I updated my pc, from Evga z270 itx to Asus b660-i itx motherboard. In my old z270 motherboard everything whas easy because everything in bios was unlocked (fd, me etc), and could do everything I want.
Now in my Asus b660 everything is locked (except main bios region). I dont mind so much but I want to unlock bios so I can flash a new splash screen (I have done it with my old motherboard).
I made a bios dump with FPT (fptw64 -d mod.rom -bios), I modded it and I tried to flash back

Hello, I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 Model No. 1873 that will switch on, however it only brings up the Microsoft logo for 3-5 seconds before shutting off so wanted to check if this is BIOS related before I go digging any further.
If anyone has a known working BIOS or can check this one it would be massively appreciated....
