I'm about to have a go at downloading the bios file from a Surface laptop 4 (1951), which is password locked at the bios level.
I'm interested in how you go about changing the bios file.
I've compared a few of the pairs of files above in HxD, and see that in every one a 3F has been changed to a 3C.
My question is, how do you know which 3F to change?
I suspect it is something to do with the serial number of the computer, but I am unable to find the serial number within the Hex file, and wonder what I'm doing wrong.
(Serial number of computer I'm about to work with is 025136421857)
I'd appreciate some insight please! Short of that, I might be back in a week or so with a file, for some direct help. 😊
Keen to understand - Thank you!

compare readings, when you have 2 identical it means you have a good backup. The size is due to chipset, if programmer detected as being 256Mb will always generate a 33.554.432 bytes file. If you use HxD see tab "Analyse" and you have there "Compare"

Can be the issue with the adaptor?
