Why would you remove DMI? You might just blank it out with FF, but surely will have problems with windows keys. I believe this will not blank out a password if that is your goal. The usual is to copy DMI region to a new fresh BIOS BIN if the laptop won't do the update itself or hung up when updating.

My goal only remove Service Tag from bios.
It´s possible with hex editor?
If you know it, I think you can see it and take it out, but according to hoaca388 service tag is inside an encrypted region in newer dell models and needed for security and region identification. I do not have any programs to find it either.
help me .fix my bios
I should be able to enter my service tag
THANKS ALL
The attached file is your Original BIOS? I found this Service Tag "24CBBH2" in your dump file, it's correct or not?
Please describe more about your device Problem.

I have Dell Precision 7510 , changed motherboard, upgraded with Dell Precision 7520 Motherboard as both had same type Motherboard.
Replacement Motherboard is new spare, it prompted for Service Tag when powered on first time.
Entered service Tag from back cover (Dell Precision 7510 Service Tag). Working good.
When updating firmware (from Ubuntu OS) , it prompted to set password, entered simple password which I can remember, BIOS was not locked.
Rebooted few times all working good, I had reset BIOS settings, it did not prompt for password.
Ubuntu prompted for firmware related update, had to restarted laptop, after restarting when entered BIOS, it had Administrative Lock , I do not remember BIOS Administrative password.
When I click on unlock, it prompts to enter password with ServiceTag-6EF1
online password generation method not working.
Is the any other way to rest/Clear BIOS Administrative password ?
laptop boots to Ubuntu OS (I use Ubuntu) , working laptop, I am using it, this is my work laptop, no point in bricking working laptop !
only need to remove BIOS Administrative password.
post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..
