When I replaced mother board, on first power up it prompted to enter Service Tag (New 7520 Motherboard)
I entered S/T tag of machine (S/T belongs to 7510).

I am using Ubuntu OS, Please provide info on tool/software used to copy content of Bios Chip. (I am searching online.. if I find will try that)

Hello,
I have Dell Precision 7510 , changed motherboard, upgraded with Dell Precision 7520 Motherboard as both had same type Motherboard.
Replacement Motherboard is new spare, it prompted for Service Tag when powered on first time.
Entered service Tag from back cover (Dell Precision 7510 Service Tag). Working good.
When updating firmware (from Ubuntu OS) , it prompted to set password, entered simple password which I can remember, BIOS was not locked.
Rebooted few times all working good, I had reset BIOS settings, it did not prompt for password. ...
