no sir, i dint.. the machine turns on but no display,almost all the basic voltages i know of are present.though the ampere on the .nvidia descrete card, cpu show 00..but when the PB is pressed the correct voltages are present..
..and there is no beep codeComment

my mobo comes with no power ...as long as press power button all supplies turns on and notebook took almost2.0 amps but withen 3 seconds it goes off and after that canmnot turn on....need to plugout dc and plugin again to turn on it again....ori file is attachedComment

Hello all, I have a Dell Alienware 15 R2 that has a corrupted bios, I have change the main bios UH4 I am just getting a blank screen.
I have the other dumps for the other chips but am struggling to find out what chip is the EC, in post 6 I see 2 files uploaded main and UT2
I was thinking that UT2 was thunderbolt firmware have been looking at the schematic its TBT
Does anyone know what chip is the EC chip ?

I have both these laptops that appeared to have the same fault so I thought I would have a go at replacing the PCH as something to learn, they both are using the same PCH.
I started on the ACER:
Up on connecting power no signs of life but current is consumed from the bench power supply and the PCH is hot.
All the caps on the top of the PCH are showing 0 ohms and the 3.3v rail is shorted.
I followed the videos from Sorin, Electronics Repair School on Youtube heating from the bottom to install. I practised on around 10 scrap... -
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

Hello, I have a Dell Alienware M15 R7 INTEL LA-L651P which does not detect the dGPU which is a 3060M, I tried reprogramming both BIOS, without success, the dGPU has all the voltages, I do not know how to make it turn on properly with an external power supply, since outside the case, it only turns on for a second and turns off.
I tested in vBios and on pin 2 of the eeprom I have no voltage, on pin 1 I do have 1.8V
I also disabled the hybrid GPU in the BIOS settings and the Windows startup sound is heard but there is no image, with a color code of 2 red and 7 blue on the power LED. It... -
