Hi everyone, hope to get someone to help and modify bios rom for me.
I need to disable dedicated nvidia graphics chip permanently.
GPU chip had failed(cracked silicon DIE) and I can only use laptop without failing if I disable nvidia graphics in dev manager (but it still draws power from battery and generates thermal signature.
Ideally if it was disabled from bios at preboot.
I believe it is possible, because if I attatch external alienware graphics amplifier , laptop at boot will disable dedicated graphics #1 (failed one) and will only boot with AGA...08-06-2024, 05:15 AM -
Hi! I have a laptop with a faulty integrated graphics card (Intel HD). Other older Nitro 5 laptops had the option to select the graphics card (switchable or discrete only) in the BIOS. This model doesn't have that option.
Does anyone have such a modified downloaded bios with hidden change functions unlocked?
Perhaps someone could modify the original BIOS settings to automatically enable discrete graphics? I've read a lot and watched videos about unlocking hidden features in the BIOS, but unfortunately, none of them work for me. Does anyone have a good solution?... -
Good evening everyone, I have recovered a Lenovo V520 desktop PC, on which I have mounted an NVDIA GF9500GT 512Mb graphics card (and it is not the only one I have tried) to replace the one originally mounted, namely NVIDIA GT730 (Lenovo code FRU01AJ853), I replaced it because it has 2 Display Port outputs that I cannot use, as I don't have such a monitor or DP/VGA converter. The problem: Windows I can see it, but the Lenovo logo or the BIOS/UEFI, not. So I can't enter the Bios. I'm looking for a BIOS modder or anyone with experience who would give me suggestions about my razer blade's BIOS settings.
I can view and edit the content of the BIOS .bin file with AMIBCP BIOS editor.
The BIOS files I'm working with are from badcaps.net and those are CLEAN BIOS files (anyone can find it with the search string: RZ09-0421).

i hope to find help her in the forum. It is a littlebit tricky. I searched many Days about disabling IntelME that was may major task. So i have a Clevo PD50PNN motherboard.
At first i tried to Backup the BIOS with tools direcly from Windows(normaly i am a Linux user). But no full success because not every part of the bios was readable. So i bought a modified CH341a for a Backup.
Backup worked but since the backup the Laptop is not booting anymore. I flashed the newest Version oft the BIOS with success, verfiy everything ok.
