    Acer 515-52 Need BIOS with UMA graphics disabled la-j891p rev 1.0


    Hi! I have a laptop with a faulty integrated graphics card (Intel HD). Other older Nitro 5 laptops had the option to select the graphics card (switchable or discrete only) in the BIOS. This model doesn't have that option.
    Does anyone have such a modified downloaded bios with hidden change functions unlocked?
    Perhaps someone could modify the original BIOS settings to automatically enable discrete graphics? I've read a lot and watched videos about unlocking hidden features in the BIOS, but unfortunately, none of them work for me. Does anyone have a good solution?

      The LA-J871P BIOS also works with this motherboard (LA-J891p), but I haven't found a dump that allows graphics card selection. Does anyone know how to modify the original BIOS or suggest how?

          I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

          I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

          After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

          Hi,

          My daughter has accidentally managed to kill her Acer gaming desktop it has a blank screen after updating and when you press the power button the fans spin, light comes on and it makes 1 long and 1 short beep and no attempt to boot.

          All basic troubleshooting has been done we replaced CPU, GPU and RAM from a working machine and no joy, I also noticed a post on here with the same issue and it was the BIOS.           I tried updating the BIOS on my Acer X4690G, but the power got interrupted mid-update, and now the BIOS is corrupted. The system won’t boot properly anymore.
