    Thank you for the help that wasn't there - my laziness caused this inquiry, because of course after looking through the forum threads, I found the answer to my earlier request for help.

    I had the same issue with a G3 and the password was actually removed, I just pressed enter (blank password) and entered BIOS, then security clear and password gone.

    post the original contents of the bios chip..

    I don't want to litter the topic, but unfortunately I can't edit previous messages, so I'm writing a new one. After reading many forum threads, I realized that in this particular model the password is in a 32 MB flash drive. I'll add the original 32 MB dump file to the message.

    In case there are problems with unlocking your laptop, write a short description of the issue, upload original file and if possible, _unlocked.bin file aswell. Just crying for help is useless. Keep the topic as clean as possible.

    the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
    Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !

    I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
    The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
    files.
