Lenovo ThinkPad T470 error melody after bios chip read

Hello,

I followed this link to remove bios pass from T470 https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...=lenovo+melody . I generate patched file, wrote it on chip and soldered back to board. When I booted the laptop 0001 error melody started, I removed all batteries and reboot with no result. Then I wrote back the original backup with the same error melody on boot and black screen.. How to fix it ? chip: 25L12873F. I attached the backup.

Thanks, I read it the chip 2 times + verify. Any other reason to get the melody error? I removed the chip using hot air station and then I placed on ch341a but reversed and it got extremely hot for 1 minute or so, then I realized and place correctly. I selected chip model and read it 2 times and compare it the files and were identically, then I use it verify option that passed as well. I wrote the patched file and soldered back țo the board. I didnt placed the laptop back cover so tamper switch must have been off, I also didnt removed the internal battery connector or hdd. I tried to booted and I got the error meolody. What is the cause: hot air station? Tamper switch? Battery connected when I soldered / unsoldered the chip? I need to fix it ..

After such mistakes, the chip usually gets damaged, most likely this is the reason. You say it continued to function after that, but I don't think so.

I read it 2 times and compare the files that were identically + verify. What options do I have now?

Just try with another chip.

Actually reversing voltage on bios chip is relatively safe. Done it multiple times and never had one die on me. One chip was left like that for about 10 minutes. The package melted a hole in it, exposing the die. I read it, programmed the content to another chip and it worked well

I've got one 0001 machine aswell, should try a new bios on it.
