BIOS chip is MXIC 25L1006E 1Mb (1,048,576 bytes), if anyone has BIOS converted from 8Mb to 1Mb or knows how to reduce it to 1Mb. I've seen other BIOSes are always 8Mb. Thanks to those who can help me.Comment

1. EC Bios near SIO chip

Hello, good day, can someone help me? This is the original BIOS for Lenovo 114a 15270-1. The laptop turns on but the screen is black. I have already tried several from LawWeb and only found one that remains in the boot with an image. I need to clean it so that it gives me an image. So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.
I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...10-11-2024, 03:12 PM -

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

Hi, my laptop suddenly shut down while it was running. When I try to turn it back on, the screen stays black and it emits a melodic beep.
I used Lenovo's SmartBeep decoder and it returned error 0284:"TCG-compliant functionality-related error (possibly BIOS code validation failure)"
