    Toshiba Satellite pro a200 psae4e 047022en

Hi guys a friend has asked me too update a old laptop so there child can do school homework i know its old but i have installed windows 7 pro 32 bit as there used to using that, everything seems too work ok except a battery charging issue i have read online and this is caused by a old bios version v2.10 at the minute so i need a link if possible to a newer version.
The issue at the minute is it will charge and run the laptop fine until the battery goes flat, it can only be charged up if laptop is plugged in but not switched on, with the charger on and battery installed it will run the battery flat and no charging icon the laptop then turns off once battery goes flat even if plugged in. I have read on various forums and all suggest its a bios issue once updated the battery will charge when adapter and battery are both installed.

Hi thanks for the reply for now my friend is just going too use the laptop without the battery installed and run it of the adapter (the battery did not hold charge they are now telling me as when on vista is was charging fine) and due too the age and specs of the laptop they have decided not too spend any money on it.The child is happy homework can now be done as they can still go on the internet/youtube etc.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

A2337 not working with flat battery
        by reformatt
Looking for some advice on a 820-02016 board as I don't have much experience with these M1 machines. Learning the nuances of them as I go.

So the history of this machine was it had been in a bag where a bottle of water leaked. Presented as dead about a month ago, corrosion was mainly around the battery connector and it's sub-PCB. Some corrosion was noted on the board around UC300, CC325, CW1C7, CW1C8. That was it really.

Now without battery connected, USB-C will stay at 5V and cycle between 0 and 120ma. PPBUS_AON is cycling between 0 to 12.3V. If battery is connected,...
