Do I need to copy 'MACHINE DATA' and 'WINDOWS KEY' from old damaged BIOS to a new virgin BIOS from lenovo in order for Ideapad C340 to boot again?
What data from the dump has to be copied? Something like UUID etc?

          Thank you

Hello, I have a Lenovo C340-15IWL notebook, I have already tried the bios in post1 but it remains the same, it turns on but there is no video. I do not have the original bios since it went to another place and they brought it to me without the bios chip installed. Is there anything else to do? thank you.

maybe it has another problem.. check voltages on the coils, change the ram memory, check the display, LVDS cable, video chipset.. is there a picture on the external screen??

I have tried other ram and hdmi. and it doesn't do anything else. With the LVDS connected the screen tends to blink but without brightness. but as you say it obviously has to be another problem. thank you

Trying to remove a power-on password on a Lenovo Ideapad S340-15IWL, serial number MP1LXEN3. I tried the method in section 3.7.3 of BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools. Specifically, I read the bios (actually, read it twice (removing and reinserting the chip from the programmer between 1st and 2nd read) and verified SHA-256 checksums to verify good read), cleared the chip, then programmed the bios that I had read back to the chip (I then re-read the chip and verified the sha-256 checksum to verify it programmed correctly).

After doing this, upon power-on, the power led comes on for about 4 seconds, then the laptop shuts off. No fan, no other lights, nothing on the screen whatsoever (the laptop booted normally to a power-on password prompt prior to this).

I've searched the forums and could not find a solution to this problem.

The eeprom is an XMC QH128AH1G, and was read as a W25Q128FV using a TL866A programmer.
The embedded controller is an ENE KB9022Q.

Motherboard is labelled as "EL5C3/EL531/EL431" LA-H101P Rev 1.0.

Not sure if I lost something important from a protected region of the eeprom chip when I erased it, or if the bios needs some work after doing a read->clear->program.

Wondering if anyone has any advice or seen this before?

I need the schematics and boardview for the display assembly and touch digitizer for an X230T convertible tablet from Lenovo. Would anyone happen to have them?

I have one in perfectly working condition, and I've been primarily using it as a drawing tablet for a while. But the CPU is showing its age with it not being able to handle larger canvases, so I would like to remove the display assembly and use it as a USB drawing tablet, and I need to verify the pin-layouts of the touch digitizer to do so.

Converting HP EliteBook 840 G7 non-touch to touch if possible
                            by trepachka
I am trying to convert a HP EliteBook 840 G7 notebook from a non-touch to a touchscreen. I purchased a complete touch LCD assembly with a screen/back cover/bezel/video cable and swapped it out with the original non-touch LCD assembly.
The screen works but the touch does not. I know the new LCD assembly is completely functional because we tried it on a similar touchscreen EliteBook 840 G7 and the touch works there.
I contacted the seller and he said screen conversion like this will not work due some difference in the motherboard for non-touch and touch capable EliteBook 840 G7.
