Hi,
the bios has no password problems but it seems corrupt, because following an update the notebook began to show startup problems (extremely slow...)
A very long time before the HP logo appears and clicking F10 takes a long time for the access the bios.
In short....it definitely has some problems.Attached FilesComment

I'm looking for a BIOS + EC dump for HP EliteBook 820 G1 (6043B0138901, F7A08ES, SPS 730566-001)
I do not have the original BIOS or EC dumps, because I purchased the laptop after it had already been serviced by a repair shop.
If anyone has the full dumps, I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance!

I need help with a corrupted Bios.
I successfully extracted the EC data from the Winbond 25Q16DVSIG 1444 but the data on the Winbond 25Q128FVSQ 1441 is always empty.
I've been using using Neoprogrammer 2.1.0.19, or Asprogrammer 1.4.1 or 2.0.3a and got empty backups, and CH341A Programmer 1.34 always reads different data (manuallly verified on HxD).
The S/N is 5CG5090BDC (although this serial shows different laptop on HP Support, weird)
HP Elitebook 820 G1
PCID: A3008DD11303
Product K4L26LA#ABM
MAC 50 65 F3 BB B0 FE
HSTNN-I13C
I'll leave good EC dump and 5 corrupted 16mb backups. and also the HP OEM extracted bin (it's 8mb this one).

Thanks for the help
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..
here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHowDue to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..

I compared my main bios with some of other posts on this topic, there are definitely differences at large.
And rewrite the laptop data:
The S/N is 5CG5090BDC
HP Elitebook 820 G1
PCID: A3008DD11303
Product K4L26LA#ABM
MAC address 50 65 F3 BB B0 FE
HSTNN-I13C
If anyone can help me now, I'll upload only the main bios chip and ec chip.

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by NopslideHello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....-

by WutruHi guys,
If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.
BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....-
