    Re: Macbook Pro 15" 2013 820-3662 BIOS

hi wondering is someone would be able to clean this, its from a 15" pro A1398 820-3662-a
bought it thinking it would be a quick fix for my daughters Christmas gift, but someone has made repair attempts already guessing they were trying to remove lock, pin one of the efi is missing its pad, and missing the 3 volts, there is a hole in the board and a tiny bit of a trace showing with the missing 3 volts, i know i can get the trace/pad to work but wanted to see if someone can check the efi see if its missing anything and if it is clean, ive not done much programming and really dont have alot of time before christmas, and with the bad almost being gone i dont think i will have many chances to get it right. if someone can spare the time to check it out i would greatly appreciate it

                        Hello everyone

i bought a macbook pro a1398 like a scrap , but motherboard was working but when i was trying to install catalina it didnt let me, only high sierra, then i start messing about with bios , because i wanna to have the same serial on a back battery case , i believe i change it and it feels like all good but when i try to reimage mac os, is dead slow its loading forever , i believe either i messed up, or its already was something not right, so the way i do understand maybe clean me bios can help me i tried to follow piernov video , but the when i try to load in flash image tool bin file i getting an error,
basically its a bit not up to my level, i believe, and cutting story short, can anyone of you smarter people then me to help me to try clean me this bin file please , i would really appreciate.

i only change serial no , and the long c02 which is on a sticker where it says 2.2g mig 16gb
also i was thinking is there a way that my macbook is 2012, and the serial from new case is 2013 and cos i change the serial it messed up everything?

                        Many thanks in advance

                          by macabook
                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                          🧩 Initial Issue
                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                          • External display (HDMI) shows
                          ...

                          by cr4zychriss
                          Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

                          Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
