Re: asus gl552vw rev 2.1 bin file
An update: after writing the bios mentioned a post before, all was working great, except keyboard lights; after spending some hours, knowing that i have to use bt.exe utilities, finally i came across a post made by SMDFlea, a nice guy from here on BADCAPS, wich point that you have to use on this newer model of Asus, updated version of BT utils, named BT2.
You make a usb stick bootable for dos, with rufus, copy on stick bt2.exe, boot from usb stick, and on prompt, taste
Bt2.exe –c cnfg /w dd 7c
enter, you get result 0 and that's it, restart, and keyboard lights is working again.Attached FilesComment

Hello to all of you! I need help with a BIOS file.
The BIOS chip is fried on my Asus F542UN laptop, and I bought a new chip that needs programming. I have a CH341a programmer but I need a .bin BIOS file. On Asus support page the firmware has another extension, .310 and from reading on this forum I understand that that file is not complete BIOS.
So, in short I need the "complete" BIOS .bin file to flash on the new chip. Another issue is that on back of the case the label says F542UN but on the sticker on the motherboard it's X542UN.-

by m1ch43lzmHi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76
Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...-
