I bought a used Laptop. Unfortunately BIOS setup is secured by password, but I need to enable Virtualization Technology (VTx) & Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VTd) on my Laptop.
Automatic BIOS Update Setting are disabled
Update BIOS via Network is enabled (but needs still pw)
Legacy Support is disabled and Secure Boot is enable (suckz also)
I've no idea how to change BIOS settings without the Admin password. Also I can't boot any native cracker software (tools included in Hirens or Kali for eexample), because secure boot Option.
So I'm looking for a possibility to flash BIOS without extracting the Chip from Board, because I don't have the hardware ans the knowledge to flash the EEPROM and I'm also not good in disassembling and assembling microelectronics, but didn't found any alternative solution till now.

ok, forgot it. It doesn't work for me as it requires removing and re-flashing EEPROM. I don't have the hardware for that. I extracted my BIOS using HP recovy flash tool but this file does not work with RCUnlocker. Tried a new downloaded BIOS from HP side, this file works fine in RCUnlocker, but i cant flash my BIOS because it's protected by settings.

HP support offered my to change the whole mainboard for only 250$

Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

I'm requesting a bios .bin for 2 of my hp Probook 450 G3's. Both of which I had forgotten the bios passwords. I stupidly flashed both of them with firmware "made" by the RCUnlocker software and I guess I shouldn't have. The last thing I did was flash both of them with RCUnlocker-fw thinking it would 100% work and left my programmer etc behind and won't have access to them for another 2 days so I figured I'd create a thread to see if I'd be so lucky that someone might have a working file laying around 😝

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
