No idea how to remove password on a cctv dvr but found this info on web.

Password Reset Instructions. First, make sure that the unit is turned off. Then press and hold any button on the included infrared remote control. While holding the button on the remote, power on the unit. You should hear a single beep followed by a double beep.

look for TTL pins rx tx on board and hook ttl adapter on it (you need rx. tx and gnd)

you will get console with root access then see if you can restore default configuration or delete password file on it (almost all dvrs ive seen are linux based)

What is the make and model number, it may have a hardcoded password and an open port .
