I do this procedure to obtain a BIOS file that you can use with a programmer, if someone thinks that I have done something wrong correct me please.
1 - download from the HP website, Notebook System BIOS Update file
2 - decrypt it with phoenix tool
3 - you get a file with extension xxxx.bin.DEC
4 - with my version of the tool phoenix I get a file larger than necessary
5 - delete the beginning of the file with a hex editor until you get the correct size, each hp bios file begins with
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Z ¥ ð ..........!.
6 - save it with bin extension
